Visit with Mozilla

Today we are having an after school meeting with Geoff, who is a Mozilla representative. We are going over the time-line for this semester and we have to have a meeting between the new and old students. The discussions between the groups of students are about how we will be moving forward in the project, we will be continuing the water monitoring system and we will also be adding a new addition to the monitoring system, we will be testing the oxygen levels in the creek behind our high school. So this semester students are taking this project a step further and adding new additions to our water buoy and testing new levels in the creek. Tomorrow we will be testing the buoy for the first time to see if it will need any repairs or to make changes if needed. Thanks for checking us out, stay tuned in for more news!!!

Learning about the water buoy

Working with college students

What are we doing today?

Today we are continuing our work for the project, although we cannot fully work on it. we have groups of kids working on different things, like one group is working on what water shed we live in. Then we have a group working on an XBEE; which is a module used for radio communication transceiver and receiver. Another group is working hard to build buoy so we can measure the iron levels, the oxygen levels, and the temperature of the creek behind our school. Then we have a group working on instructional videos for the future students! Needless to say, we are all trying to work hard towards our goal of reaching the project destination!! GOOD LUCK ENVIRONMENTALISTS!!!!
